BYOD (Bring your own device)

 

First year Loreto students who have their own iPad which meets the minimum technical requirements outlined below may bring their own device instead of purchasing a new iPad. 

BYOD Students will receive the same book package as all other 1st year Students and are also required to attend the iPad deployment day in Loreto on Monday 19th August.

All Loreto students wishing to avail of the BYOD program are asked to contact A to Z directly before Friday the 19th of July on 0567712918 or on tablets@atozcomputers.ie

 

Minimum Requirements for BYOD

For BYOD the iPad must be:

1. an iPad air (2020 Edition).
2. 64GB of storage
3. Minimum 9.7" Screen 

The iPad needs to be enrolled in the Loreto Apple School Manager program, for security and device management purposes.

Important! The iPad will be wiped and set up again from scratch with the Students Loreto Account as part of this process.

A consent form will need to be signed by the Parent/Guardian authorising A to Z to wipe the device and enroll in the Loreto iPad program.

BYOD devices will then be handled in the same way as all other iPads and the student will participate in the deployment day Monday 19th of August to set up their device and ebooks.
